We divided our articles on 3 sections and released the first part in 8.07.2025, Climate Change and Turkish section on 15.07.2025. In this last section we will work it what we can do. İKLİM is the average of meteorological events such as temperature, humidity, wind, precipitation. In this respect, the concept of “air condition” refers to short-time status of the atmosphere is different from the UN Climate Change Framework Convention, in addition to the natural climate changes observed in a time period of climate change, directly or indirectly, as a result of human effects that impose the composition of the global atmosphere, is defined in the form of a change in climate.

WHAT WE DO?

Turkey’s energy consumption showed a regular increase between 1990-2004, as a result of the total SERA GAZI swings in the same period 170.1 From Mton 296.6 In 2010, 402 Mton reached 552.2 Mton CO2 equivalent level in 2023. 4.7 Mton CO2 savings can be achieved in Istanbul by changing our individual habits without getting away from living comfort. In this regard, I have compiled all of us from the publications of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in nature, workplace, shopping, travel, school and home. Let us sort out what we can do at home today. Let's see what we can do outside the house. * Let's change our standard incanescent lamp with a fluorescent(CFL) lamp. CFL uses less than 60% of the energy used by a normal lamp. This simple change will provide 150 kg . less carbon dioxide release per year. * We set our winter heating system 2 degree down, summer cooling system up to 2 degree. The energy we use in our house goes to warm and cooling almost half. 1000 kg per year with this simple adjustment. less carbon dioxide release. * Clean or renew the filters in our calorie boiler, air conditioning. Cleaning a dirty filter per year 175 kg. less carbon dioxide release. * Let's reduce our use of hot water. It is necessary to spend a lot of energy to heat the water. 175 kg with a shower cap that runs more efficiently and consumes less water. 250 kg when washing our clothes in warm or cold water. less carbon dioxide release. * When we use, let’s close our electronic tools and remove it from the plug. It saves tons of carbon dioxide per year to close our TV, our music set when we use our computer. The energy spent in order to run hours on electronic tools and keep memory chips ready, creates 5% of total energy spent at home, leaving 18 million tons of carbon annually. * Let’s run our dishwasher at times where they are full and use it in energy saving adjustment. 50 kg per year. We can reduce carbon dioxide emission or release. * Let's make insulation in our house. It can reduce our warming costs by 25% to burn the walls and ceilings well. 1000 kg per year. less carbon dioxide release. * Let’s use local fresh foods. Using local products will save fuel. 10 times more energy is used in the production of frozen foods. * Less meat. Metan is the second most important greenhouse gas. Cattle are from most methane emitters. Autla causes nutrition and double stomachs to produce methanes, and these gases are kept in the atmosphere in every breath. To the next generations, we must do these studies in order to leave a World where we can live. Our articles on climate change will continue with different sizes. Enjoy.
